Gav I'm just bored of all this bollocks now, what will happen, will happen. I just want the season to start, so then we'll all know where we stand with regards to signings and what Sidwell is doing.

Totally agree.

King Canute thought he could stop the waves in the sea.

Now I can see the same King Canute trying to stop the wave of Sidwell bashing.

You missed a bit ....

$teve $idweLoLLoL

Needs £18k a week just to keep the family afloat! Bless!

Welcome to the world of the premiership RFC!!!!!

And to think I missed Div 4 with Geoff Barker quitting footy because he couldn't live on £5k A YEAR!!!

Jack Mansell was on that when he signed in the summer of 1969. My, times have changed.

The amusing thing is Steve, you aren't even that good.

18k a week to get shown up by the likes of Jimmy Bullard every game? No ta.

There's reason he isn't already playing for an established premiership club.

He hasn't proved he is good enough. He started out with the just about the most established premeirship club, and they shipped him out.

You're having a laugh and by the way Bullard moved to be on 30 grand a week!

I agree. Sidwell has a great engine, scores goals, tackles well and is a ball winner.

However, his passing, vision and football brain are average at best. If he had that 'in his locker', he would have been playing regularly in the Premiership long before Reading.

One poll in 442 magazine does not a Premiership star make. Don't believe the hype.

my thoughts exactly, same goes for his england ambitions. he's 23 now so if he wants to pay properly for england time is running out, especially with all the much better players in line before him.

You've got that arse about tit mate.

Canute's followers believed he was the most powerful man in the world and was essentially godlike. So we went to the seashore sat on his throne and commanded the sea to stop to prove that he wasn't all powerful and that he was just a man.

He's lost a lot of respect in my eyes having once been one of my favourite players. Any bloke who tattoos his wedding vowels all over his back, complains that he needs £18k a week to live on and then attacks his club's pre-season policy days before the season is a tosser.

As much as I don't like Sidwell at the moment, he is the player I'd be most confident about making the step up to the Premiership to be honest. I think he's got the attributes and the right sort of mentality.

I agree with you, i have little respect for him, it sickens me that he wants 18k a week. If he was better yes give it to him, but he really isn't that good, he's overrated and unproven. I laughed at the though of getting him on the back of my shirt as my idiot mate suggested.

Are there any Reading players proven at Prem level?

The day we pay someone £18k a week will involve a better player than your love child.
