Has a Reading player before today lasted less than 10 minutes before being sent off?

maybe the question should be

Has a referee focked up so much in ten minutes?

That's a bit harsh.

He was poor over 90 minutes, not just 10.

But even then he managed not to be the worst official on the pitch; a big shout going out for the nearside linesman.

This question isn't about referees.

I just wondered what the shortest time a Reading player had survived on the field before being sent off was, before today.

I seem to remeber Bob Hazell lasted about 5 mins. from the start of a game.

What about when Adie Williams came back from injury against Milwall at The Den during his first spell with us and got a straight red just after coming on as a sub? Can't remember what year.

I still think that the sending off was very harsh.

One record that was set at Old Trafford was that Reading are the first Premiership team this season to score 2 goals against Man Utd in the same game.
Celtic are the only other team to do so, in the Champions League.
