Both came from Watford, both played for England at youth level, both trying to replace a very successful keeper

Fortunately there's a much better support structure around today which is something I believe Sheppard touches upon in that interview.

I think he's very happy with where he is right now, as a bit of a spoiler for Part 2 he talks about feeling he'd done as much as he could, there was no challenge left for him. Compared it to getting Christmas dinner every day, eventually you want something different.

I think the straight journalist role is missed a bit with the current coverage but then Tim's much more of a prominent front man than Joel was . We talk a bit more about why fans are divided on Dellor in Pt2 as well.

While we might have one of the best websites in football , the Tilehurst End Podcast is one of the most awful things I have ever heard. The Presenter is ok , but the amount of repetition and lack of fluidity in thought and speech from the guests is unbearable. You really should get someone to edit the show cos it drives me nuts.

Always take it on board positive or negative.

I fully agree that some shows could use a good edit, and I'd love to be able to go through a full edit process, yet the timescales involved with getting the show to air often don't give you much time to do so.

Half the time we're recording late on a Monday night with a game often happening the next day. If we took the time to do a full edit, the show would be out of date by the time it went to air. We all have full-time jobs, so actually finding those extra hours to sit through and edit a show are pretty tricky. I'd love nothing more than to put out a polished, amazing, fluid show but unlike professional outlets we just don't have the capacity to do so in a timely manor.

It's a far from perfect show but we've never pretended it is, we just do the best we can with the limited time and facilities belonging to us. What I like to hope is that the actual content can make up for whatever audio flaws or presentation flaws we have. Even so, we'll strive to keep getting better and improving so the feedback is always welcome.

I, for one, really enjoy the podcast. Yes, maybe there is a bit of repetition but that's the case with plenty of other podcasts.
I'd rather it was timely than perfectly edited and out of date. Sometimes I find I'm heading to the next match before I've had a chance to listen to the cast - more to do with being busy or my podcasts not refreshing or other user error. If it was too edited some of the gems (that come from unscripted remarks where maybe someone starts to dig a hole) might end up on the cutting room floor.
