Absolutely gutted. Will never get his impact in the record breaking season, and IMO his goal against Millwall is one of the best scored at the Mad Stad.

Shame hes not been able to replicate that form since, and as much as im upset hes gone, its best for all parties.

My aunt isnt going to be pleased when she hears hes gone

Terffic season in 05/06, and since arriving here he has opitimised the 'Reading way' perfectly. Never forget reading an EP article about him explaining that although every-so-often the club send some players to do hospital visits at the childrens ward at RBH, Bobby Convey went once a week of his own accord anyway.

It probably wont happen, but it would be nice if he could make some sort of appearance on Saturday as a goodbye to the fans. He wont be remembered as one of the best Reading players ever, but will be fondly remembered by most.

I think this is a great tribute from the drunks here on HNA.

Agree with Focher - One phenomenal season, the rest was pretty tripe. Technically, you could argue he's a better played than Hunt but ultimately suffered from being a little too lightweight for the Prem IMO.

All the best Bobby, loved you in the Championship winning season! Shame i couldn't see you in one more game to get a good send off.

Will look out for you for the rest of your career.

Apart from the goal vs Milwall, Bobby's other stand out moment for me was the raking 50 yard cross field pass to Leroy at Preston away iirc, which resulted in Leroy banging it in.

A fully paid up member of the record breaking Champ Team - good luck Bobby and thanks for the memories.

Real shame he has gone, but suppose was best probably for the best. A bit dissapointed we won't be able to give him a proper send off.

Very sorry, but totally not surprised, to hear this. Probably my favourite player in the promotion season & watched his games in the World Cup with real pride.

Well done Bobby Convey.
Sorry to see you leave.

This leaves me slightly worried about our left-hand side now, seeing as we now only have 4 natural left-footers (correct me if I'm wrong) in Harper, S Hunt, Armstrong and Harding.

If Harding doesn't manage to perform well for us it leaves us in a bit of a dilemma, seeing as Harper isn't exactly going to be the most amazing left winger in the country.

Still, in Coppell We Trust.

Tabb can play left wing.

End of the day what was the point of him being here. I think we're ok on the left personally.

Also Kebe's favourite position is left wing, its where hes played all his career. So if needed, Kebe can go left wing as well as Tabb.

Good luck to Bobby Convey. It was inevitable he was to leave, he was out of contract in the summer and hasn't featured for a long while. My favourite memory was probably his goal at Wolves, which secured another 3 points and for players and fans alike made it seem that promotion was going to happen.

Another thing both him and Marcus (when he leaves) can be proud off is how they've raised the profile of the club in the USA.

Bye BYe Bob and I'd just like to say sorry. I feel sure if I hadn't been so won over by you in 05/06 I wouldn't have chosen to get Convey 17 on the back of my premier league edition home shirt thus completely jinxing the rest of your career. Again, I'm sorry and good luck

I'm amazed other clubs in this country have'nt shown an interest in buying him, he has proved he can do it at this level.
Good luck and thanks for some great memories during a great season.

If he hadn't of damaged his knee he'd have never of lost his first team place to Hunt who never gets injured :| .

It's crazy, but that's football.
For what it's worth our first few premiership games I felt he was plenty good enough before his injury became too serious.
