loyalroyal4life does anyone not think this is the worst time to sack him? least should of waited until Jan IMO

nil points on saturday

100% disagree - if he was to go, I'm glad it's now rather than halfway through January - at least the new manager will have a couple of games to assess where the squad weaknesses are before the transfer window opens rather than only having a couple of weeks (a la Juande Ramos at Spurs a couple of years ago)

Arnie_Pie I think this is a very bad move.

Why now?

There must be another reason than our league position. Probably something to do with the transfer window looming and BR being told there is no money

Best of luck BR, you shall make a great manager one day.

Did the Tim Dellor interview with Brendan Rodgers after the Scunny draw last Saturday play a part in SJM's decision?

I'll write my full review later but in a nutshell im quite sad. Yes he did poorly, but its never nice to see someone with affection for the club and the area leave after a stint like that. All I can ask in the mean time is that people don't throw the childish insults around, accept that he gave 100% ( which I believe he did) for the club but simply came up short and wish him well.
I think a lot of what he did was mis-read and some was naivety from a young manager. Please remain respectful even though his time here was a failure.

I am fcking over the moon, when my housemate told me I had a little dance.
Bloke was so far out of his depth, club had to do something.
Darren Ferguson for me.

Suppose it will be Dean Austin and Frank Lampard Senior as caretakers

I am shocked, stunned but have to say happy. It's the correct decision. The club is going one way and there is little positive vibe about the place.

The timing is right as well for me, it gives the new man December to asses things then January to change things.

Good luck to Rodgers in the future, he may make a decnet manager one day but he was the wrong man from day 1.

Darren Ferguson, no one else need apply.

I have to say im actually pretty disappointed and feel for him! He was slowly turning things round and we had started to pick up a few points.

He never had a chance with all the changes made in the summer and the lack of backing from the board and long term I think he could have done a decent job.

All the best for the future Brendan!

T.R.O.L.I.
Royalee Madejski best have someone good lined up.

In all seriousness, who's available?

Darren Ferguson
Martin Allen

Is it beyond the realms of possibility to get Alan Curbishley? (My choice in the summer and my choice now).

Oh do shut up, not good enough, hopefully we can get someone in who can get these players playing.
