I think I went to that game back in the day where I wasn't really a full on supporter. Hard to remember, but I do have a programme at home. I do remember my first game vs Grimsby, thrashing Sunderland 4-0, Quinn scoring a late winner against Ipswich (who were in the play-offs), losing 1-0 to Boro and remembering we were deep in shit. Beating some 9 man team 2-0, a match against Stockport. Brum memories weak though.

Wow, I can't think of a worse moment to start supporting Reading, because that was about the last game we were any good that season. Kudos for supporting us after what followed--a plummet from mid-table security to relegation certainty in two months. (At least your mum bought you a shirt, even though she wouldn't buy you a shirt. :P )

The last game of our '85 (?) title winning season. We beat Doncaster 2 - 0, Sir Trevor Senior scoring both.

83-84, and I presume you mean the last home game. Last game was the riotous trip to Hartlepool.

Haha I meant she bought me a scarf instead of a shirt (the scarf is about 5 feet away from me now :D )
