Grave of Mr. Sydenham

A while ago there were reports that something might be done to trace the descendents of our founder so that permission could be granted to fix up his grave. By any chance does anybody know how this went?

The last I heard, someone had offered to restore the grave. I must admit I have not followed up to see if it was done.

Thanks, do let us know if you hear anything. There was talk of a whip-round. I think the grave couldn't be fixed without the permission of his relatives so it hit a stumbling block.

I went and had a look at this the other day on my way home. The direction to find it are very accurate. Its nothing like the pic above tho. The fallen cross has been removed and the remaining stone that the cross was attached to has been taken off all the way down the the base, just leaving some metal exposed in the middle.

It was a pretty clean cut, so i reckon it has been taken away for repair...

anyone know any different?
