STAR Northern Royals

by STAR_Northern_Royals » 04 Jul 2007 21:21

STAR Northern Royals is the official northern exiles branch of STAR and our main aim is to put fellow exiled Royals fans in touch with others living in their area. We meet up before local games and at the Mad Stad whenever possible, travelling to games together and enjoying the occasional social event. With help from RFC & STAR we arrange block seat bookings for northern away matches and have recently introduced a "Northern Away Season Ticket" for local Premiership games.

If you live in the north (or know someone who does) and wish to meet other exiled Royals fans, send an e-mail to northern.royals@star-reading.org for more information.

Indeed. Expect a further 2 Maynards in the clan this season, from Blackburn & from Sheffield. We are taking over the north (bah gum lad!).

Do we know if we are likely to get the same perk with away tickets as we did last season?

We've not had formal confirmation from RFC Ticket Office yet, but are expecting it to be the same arrangement for tickets (home & away) and with the 9 northernmost games available as our Northern Away Season Ticket - Barnsley, Blackpool, Burnley, Derby, Doncaster, Notts Forest, Preston, Sheff Utd & Sheff Wed. Watch this space and STAR website for more details over the next few weeks.

If some of us miss the last train back home, could any of the Northern Royals put us up for the night?

No official word from STAR yet but I'm sure they'd echo me in saying the thoughts of Royals fans everywhere are with those affected by the floods.

Hang in there champs.
