Finally started work on this in the last week or so. The speed and amount of trees they've already felled is pretty astonishing. You can start to see how big a plot it actually is.

Granted it's not easy to see a great deal from the road, but the removal of buildings is still taking place. I do however know via a council friend that the work has been scaled back considerably. You can ponder why...

You'll have to ponder because I'm certain the club won't be commenting

plans were cut back as they now plan to build 26 houses on part of the site, to finance the development of the training ground.

Players accomodation?

Commenable to see the club getting back to the good-ol-fashioned core values of the game.

Make as much money out of the club as possible, exploit all the land they can, and then sell a much less desirable football club to the next corrupt owner.

If I recall correctly there was housing & accommodation included in the original planning application. Not that that would stop the conspiracy theorists like 1871 from their doom mongering.

Probably because the Thai's have their car park now so they will want to spend money on that which generates money for their own pockets rather than helping develop the club.

I've heard the hold up is because the Thais are Russians in disguise and they want to exploit underperforming players in to the woods and show them some Russian discipline.

Interesting use of 'exploit' there. Assuming it is an autocorrect I am even struggling to see what is supposed to be there!

The Real SilverFox here!

l rarely post, but have to comment on the "new" training ground fiasco.

Some earth movement visible, but could be down to large moles!
Builders wire fence all round the front of site, but could be to prevent immigrants entering Bearwood
Tumbleweed notable around the site entrance!
Has the look of an experimental fracking site

Expect to see houses going up in a few decades!
