download Mid way through the second half, I realised that I hadn't been irritated by him. Hopefully that is reflects on him doing a better job, rather than me somehow blocking him out.

FA 1/4 final could be a tough one for him. Plenty of tourists likely to attend for him to play up to.

Much better yesterday. Read the team list out. "Back the boys and make some noise, come on URZZ" and went inside. None of the usual theatrics.

I heard him then shout "COMMMEEEE ONNNN YOUUUU ROYALLLLLSSSS"

Didn't he or did I just imagine that?

...

Oh and I just wanted to add some balance to this... I actually do like the way he does the half time goal scoring competition, so he's not all bad.

Would have been taking the piss if he called it a legendary atmosphere.

That's a very linear view of time/space you have there.

Heading for a knoll-knoll draw I fear. Unless some one can get off a late shot from nowhere. I'm backing Ola to rifle one in....

I'm just hoping for an entertaining game so I can get more bang for my buck.

Terrified that the near sell out and the occasion is going to send him in to full jizzy overdrive.

On the plus side, if we win, i hope he gets introduced in the same manner as the old chap did last year at Wembley because it could be on par with George Osborne being announced at the Olympics.

Ugh, wasn't even thinking about him tonight, if he's given full rein to do what he wants in front of a sell-out and BBC audience then God help us.

I hope there's a controversial decision that requires staging the game again at the Madejski, televised again, so he can do whatever he's going to do tonight twice.

Congratulations to our very own PA Announcer who has been chosen by Wembley to host the non league finals day in a few weeks.

Clearly held in high regard by some and is going places.

He's very well thought off from what I've heard. I think he won some sort of award too.

I can see him being OK at an England game as it's a bigger occasion, with far less opportunity to shout cringeworthy things. Where as a local game in the championship where there are 14'000 fans on a cold Tuesday night, it's far more noticable

I wonder if we will know if he will be at Reading next year before the first game, or is it a case of just turn up and see what goes down?

The club did do the survey thing, so I hope they post the results up of that.

He actually wasn't that bad at Wembley for non league finals day. Non offensive which was quite suprising for a final with so many people. He didn't do any of the 'LETS HEAR THE MIGHTY HEREFORD NOISE' I was expecting. Slotted into the background did a decent job and only mentioned the legendary wembley atmosphere once.

So I suspect it might indeed have been him that I heard in the background doing the PA at the recent Invictus Games. Perhaps we aren't the only Royals he knows!
