I park in the Hilton 10 minute walk, free parking if you spend £10 behind the bar, so appreciate it isn't free but it is for me as i would spend that at another establishment before and after the game anyway. You can add your receipts together it doesn't have to be in one purchase.

RoyalBlue Didn't take The Holiday Inn long to cash in on the increased demand for parking in their area. Last night the price had increased from £7 to £8.

I hope the bloke collecting all of that money for them has demanded a similar increase in his wages.

Which is the cheapest parking now (not looking for free) within reasonable walking distance of the stadium?

he was there very early for the game, around lunch time

so while he may not have had an hourly rate rise, he will at least be getting extra hours

£2 extra for a couple of parking and a couple of drinks sounds a much better deal!

download Many thanks to everyone who has suggest Mereoaks. I'm going to give it a go. I can't see much chance of a capacity crowd until the start of 2017, assuming the start of next season we get off to a flying start.

Gave Mereoaks a go, all very civilised but I guess several factors involved, low crowd, better arrangements with the stops, reasonable performance by the team and decent weather.

Less grief about the parking issue since HP closed than might have been expected.

Are you all getting parked up OK?

Or have you stopped coming?

Mainly because actual attendances have been so low. You can just see how many season ticket holders aren't coming each week by the number of empty seats, especially in the East stand.

Yes, although the declared attendances are about as accurate/reliable as a politician's tax return!

I'm one of the people that didn't even know you could park for free in Green Park. Been parking in the same place as the last few years, 20 min walk from the jazz cafe entrance and quick to get back on the M4. And best of all free.

In summary, after the initial scare with all this it appears that it was no doubt CGI staff moaning about the football and its parking as its that site which is now permanently patrolled by Green Park security staff whilst the other sites appear unchanged.

Few minutes more and the parking is free. With no hold up getting away.

good of the team to let their form drop so far that parking wasn't an issue any more

I have no problem with the club making money out of other teams' fans if it contributes to the summer transfer pot :D Not like Wasps or Sarries fans will be back next season to remember it

I doubt that. Far more likely that someone has noticed their car park isn't filling up on match days and wants to stop unauthorised parking - CGI's is the nearest and therefore the car park most likely to be the problem.

Gillette Way now totally double-yellows; estate around Craddock Rd up to Retail Pk beyond Morrisons now 2 hr limit before 18:30 - as per restrictions introduced in Morrisons pre 18:00 makes Sat parking a bit more of a pain.

Ok for midweek though.

Looks like I'll be parking amongst the environs of those noble Whitley folk

... actually as I can do with the exercise I may well revert to walking the whole way.

Not sure my lad would be too keen especially if he's played that AM.
