George_ IN

We'll take around 5,000 for this easy.

2,000 Reading and 3,000 plastic gooners from previous experiance.

percy_freeman Bearing in mind that in our three ties to date, the crowd has not exceeded 6k, I cannot envisage a problem for anyone that wants a ticket to travel to North London on a wet soggy Tuesday night to watch Arsenal 2nd 11 play Readings 2nd 11. The fact that we have never beaten Arsenal in the history of the Universe may also come into play, but if you have nothing better to spend your money on, good luck.

If you don't think we will play a strong team then you're on a mad one.

+1 full strength for this one

Nameless Definitely in.
Would people suggest driving and parking near by or would it be better to go by narrow boat via the Thames and the Grand Union Canal ?

I can't make this one, but if you want to drive IMHO the best option is to park at Cockfosters tube (v large carpark) and tube it in.

My Arsenal supporting mate has been doing that for 20yrs.

Yeh blimey Percy I thought I'd fallen out of love with the game but that's put it in perspective.

Anyway I love (a) a cup tie and (b) a London away game so you can do one. Have fun in B&Q that evening and don't forget your fleece.

Not a bad line up away at Arsenal back in 2005 though:

Reading: Stack, Murty, Ingimarsson, Sonko, Shorey, Oster, Harper, Sidwell, Hunt, Kitson, Lita.

Subs: Hahnemann, Little, Convey, Doyle, Makin.

At the time I definitely felt it was a weakened team, with hindsight it probably wasn't, but it felt weaker because he changed the keeper, wingers and dropped Doyle.

I remember being extremely pissed though as although it wasn't a weak side it wasn't the team that was on the amazing run and I genuinely still think if Convey and Little were playing the result would have been different.

Kitson had that chance early in the 2nd half and hit it straight at their keeper (Almunia?). It was a brilliant evening, apart from the result. We weren't too bad, but Arsenal were just (as always) a cut above us. Gutted I can't make this one though!

Funny to think that was 11 years ago now. I was so keen to get to Highbury before Arsenal moved that I got my gooner uncle to get me some tickets to an Arsenal league game - it ended up being the game the Saturday before so I went to Highbury twice in 4 days.

If there's still tickets left by Friday I wonder if they will just go to general sale or go down the FA cup scenario of dropping further and further down the points scale.

Have to decide whether or not to bring my Arsenal supporting Granddad, thought it might be nice since he hasn't been to the Emirates and we'd make an interesting trio.

The Arsenal supporting Grandfather
The Reading/Spurs supporting Father
And me, the Reading supporter.

Anyways excited for this now :D
