Football Buses - v Leeds - April 1st

by DelBoyRodders » 07 Mar 2017 11:30

Has anyone heard anything regarding the times for the football buses for the home game against Leeds United on Saturday 1st April?

For a 3.00pm afternoon kick-off our bus will pick us up at 12.50pm - which is 2 hours and 10 minutes before kick-off.
For a 8.00pm night kick-off our bus will pick us up at 6.20pm - which is 1 hour and 40 minutes before kick-off.
Hence for afternoon and evening games the pick-up times are 30 minutes difference.

With the Leeds game being a 5.30pm kick-off it is neither and afternoon or night kick-off - it's somewhere in between.

So what times are the buses working to for a 5.30pm kick-off, e.g. do I get to the bus stop at 3.20pm (2 hours, 10 minutes before kick-off) or 3.50pm (1 hour, 40 minutes before kick-off)?

I've never used the bus before for a 5.30pm Saturday kick-off so have no idea.

If you look on the timetable for your particular bus ( on website under Club/ Travel-parking), there is a timetable for Sat 3pm, Sunday and Midweek. As a rule, we have always looked at how many minutes before the 3pm KO your bus is due. Take that time from 5.30 and that's your answer.

Don't forget, if you're over 65 you'll be charged to use the buses.

Based on Saturday times rather than mid-week times. i.e., 2 and a half hours later than a normal Saturday pick-up. So - 3.20pm.

See the football buses pdf

For a midweek game, we virtually never have a different time to 8pm, so I'd expect to get explicit instructions for that one. Otherwise just follow the "Saturday times" rules.
