26-10-06 Being quiet at work and wanting to know how many we've sold I logged on to the online chat.

'Only' about 31,000 sold.

I know Morgan Evan, he is a Leeds fan and is winding you up.

By Friday evening we shifted over 28000 tickets. Do you really think we have only then shifted another 3000 Saturday, Sunday, Monday?

Pay day this week, those folk will clear the remainder, chill out.

31,000 sounds about right to me - maybe closer to 32. The vast bulk of people that were interested in the game bought on Thursday and Friday to make sure they got the seats they wanted - then you have the remaining few 'day trippers' who decided to buy at the weekend. I'll be surprised if we sell more than 500 extra between now and the weekend.

I know of at least 4 people who went in 2011 and 2015 and won't be bothering on Monday.

Yep, I was thinking that too.
We'll all be in blue and white, so nobody will notice who has more fans. Except for obsessed "attendance" police

Agreed. I was watching the blocks for sale over the w/e and they didn't change much in 3 days.

I did my bit and convinced some random people at work to have a day out in the sunshine.

with the attack in Manchester, be vigilant. Big weekend football wise at Wembley - easy target.

The Cap Latest update from Udders end. 37,000 sold now. And 85 coaches making their way down.

Fair play to them, not the shortest journey to make!

Overkill leaving already though.

Work-colleague says there isn't even 37000 people living in Huddersfield, and their end will be full of daytrippers.

You'd never guess he's a Leeds fan....

The Informant A massive spastic lol to those who got all hormonal and female when ordering and paying for special delivery

Well worth £6:50 to get this exciting countdown!
23/05/17 07:42 ON DELIVERY PORTISHEAD PDO
23/05/17 07:21 AT DELIVERY OFFICEPORTISHEAD PDO PORTISHEAD PDO
23/05/17 06:01 ON ITS WAY TOPORTISHEAD PDO BRISTOL MAIL CENTRE
23/05/17 05:22 ARRIVED ATBRISTOL MAIL CENTRE BRISTOL MAIL CENTRE
22/05/17 21:37 ON ITS WAY TOBRISTOL MAIL CENTRE NOTTINGHAM MAIL CENTRE
22/05/17 18:50 ITEM COLLECTED NOTTINGHAM MAIL CENTR

I would guess that most who forked out extra did so to guarantee their tickets wouldn't get lost in the post, not so they could track their tickets every movement through the postal system, or even to get tickets early.

IIRC the £6.50 was "Secure Post", where they'll need you to sign for the tickets upon delivery.

I don't think they said anything about it being faster.

for me that would have been paying £6.50 for the privilege of picking the tickets up from the PO depot when i inevitably missed the initial delivery..

Additional allocation?

So we'll exceed 38k

Yeah, chinny reckon

Rule 1: Don't bullshit your customers

Rule 2: If you disobey Rule 1, don't make it bleedin' obvious that you have done so!

Huddersfield now selling block 501, so not so sure about this additional allocation that we needed.

Our site is now selling 501 as well! A number of additional blocks seem to have been added in the last couple of hours,

Out of interest - if your tickets get "lost" in the post - and they give you some duplicates to pick up

Whats to stop the originals still being used? :?

Most modern day ticketing systems uniquely identify each ticket. So if you report missing tickets, those tickets should get invalidated.

Therefore they might pass the initial "eyeball" test, but won't get you through automatic gates.

Unless the staff member who organises the reprint forgets to invalidate the originals

There is still no guarantee that your tickets won't get lost in the post! It's just that you will know at what stage in the delivery process they got lost!
