We're drinking in the Green Man down Great Portland Street. Short train to Wembley from there!

Oxon_Royal Got a feeling I could be drinking on my own pre-match
I'll be on the Bakerloo line

Looks like Baker Street's not so easy to get to.....

Hope you find a drinking buddy. Don't even know why I am reading this thread. I will be travelling stupidly early with the wife and 2 kids blowing hooters , probably sat in our seats 2 and a half hours before kick off, having bought several "Wembley Teddies" and huge flags in the shop.

Have a drink for me!!!!

Lol... will do!
Hey, look on the positive...at least you won't wake up on Tuesday feeling like you've been flushed down a sewer....and you WILL be able to recollect large parts of the match!!

Bree louise at Euston that's where the top boys are drinking

Doing a bit of last minute research last night, might try the Barley Mow near Baker Street as it has West Berkshire beers on draft...

Thought I recognised you. Between all of the Reading fans there we went through a hell of a lot of hot wings, cracking pub and well done Mags for finding it.

Drank at the Albany, Great Portland Street. Some good old Elm Park faces in there. Quite a few Huddersfield too. Top atmos.

pub plans went awry, found ourselves outside the stadium at 1:00pm so just headed in to a quiet concourse and some pints of EPA, which was pleasant.

Had a few in The Torch. Good fun and met a lot of mates but a slightly subdued atmosphere (same in the stadium) lifted by the sporadic passing of Huddersfield coaches.

Visited Allsopp, Globe & Torch.

As the quality of beer decreased, the atmosphere gradually improved.

1.30 - 2 in The Torch was raucous, as the yoof struggled to handle their drink, and resorted to Reading festival behaviour. Fair play to those who took up the mantle in the 'mosh pit' getting showered with beer.

I do wonder if the chap in the green jumper and bucket hat survived the day?

Noticed a couple of snide pricks at the back minesweeping drinks (including mine ) just to throw at people. Cheered as the main protagonist took the contents of what looked like a fruit bulmers to the face in a retribution attack just before we left. Sticky revenge

Haha I saw the guy in the green jumper on the table, he looked absolutely wrecked and it was only 1pm. No way would he have survived the day!

I didn't really enjoy The Torch if I'm honest. There's only so much enjoyment you can get out of watching about 100 16 year olds jumping on tables and chucking beer over each other. I was with my Dad too (non-football fan from Kent) and in hindsight we should have gone elsewhere

Didn't get to the Torch in the end. Didn't get there until after 1.30 (was at Victoria longer than planned) and when I saw there was a queue just to get in and knowing that we were only going to be there 30/40 mins and it was starting to rain I lost interest and we went straight to the stadium. From what's been said on here glad I avoided it as the group of us wouldn't have enjoyed it much. Shame, the Arsenal pre-match was amazing and I was hoping for more of the same.

Yea it was weird.

Queue was long but took about 5 minutes as it was just delayed as they were searching people.

Inside was dead! Got served immediately. Narrowly avoided stepping in a load of vomit which someone had deposited on the carpet.

After the initial "haha this is mental" it wasnt great.

Plus the number of beer bottles randomly being thrown was ridiculous.

I'm still drinking now. Monks Retreat with a bitter and a fag. One of the most bitter ever too.
