According to Twitter, we've only sold 500. Absolute shambles. £20 and 2 hours away.

PieEater I think that timing is quite optimistic, I'd of said 30mins, but there's a couple of decent pubs you can stop off at on the way.

The correct choice for splitting the walk. The food's good in there, they keep the ale well too. Just don't wear colours (standard really).

Cheers now how far is the ground from New street?

10-15 min walk my friend. (Don't get the bus it takes ages).

10 mins if you're Mo Farah maybe . . . .

It's a 'good' half hour. But John is right, don't take a bus or taxi as the traffic makes it pointless. Find a pub to stop at.

10-15 is optimistic. But it's a casual half hour, or probably nearer 20 minutes in all honesty. There's a good few pubs along the way to stop at, but the Old Crown (big black and white half timber pub, linked above) is probably your best bet.

I`ll be there before midday, so Sun on the hill first then a stroll down to the ground about 1.30 with a few ales on the way. repeat after the game.

Didn't you get the memo? Football is just entertainment now, the same as going to see a film at the cinema. Who wants to go to Brum to watch us play boring football and probably lose?

The club treats us like customers, the players view their club as temporary employers, why should the fans be the only ones expected to have any loyalty?

Cue the Twitter pictures of our away end followed by "tinpot" comments.

So what? It doesn't make a difference when we smash them 3-0 on the pitch

And similarly the thousands that turned up for the playoff final at Wemberlee in no way compensated for losing.

Not bothered about what other fans think. It's embarrassing for our players to walk out to 500 fans, when opposition teams at Madejski are walking out to thousands. Must suck to be a Reading player, playing in front of little crowds who make little noise. No wonder why everyone wants to move away.

Still amazes me that grown adults get bothered by how many people turn up to watch a football match
