Proper names for stands!

by Stanmore Royal II » 05 Jul 2006 23:04

As its close season and the transfer activity is low lets talk about naming the stands after proper people. I know the club have said that having names on stands can deter sponsers but I am sure both can be combined if necessary.

starters for ten......

Maurice Evans West Stand

Robin Friday North Stand I chose this for North Stand as I sit there!!

Bas Savage East Stand

Kerry Dixon South Stand

Well I am sure you good people can think of better ones

Been discussed before many times and something many supporters would like to see but not likely as we make money from the likes of Foster's and Kyocera with their names on the stands.
I've always felt you could combine the two and have the Robin Friday Kyocera East Stand etc but Boyd ButLOLeROFL says no!

Madjeski stand - that'll only come when we sell the naming rights to the whole place, and that'll only come once it's fully 40,000'd up.

Have had positive responses when I've dealt with him.

If we name the stands after ex players, staff etc, can we name the corners after the HNA legendary mods?

I vote for The Huntley & Palmer's North East Corner Stand
