New members question

by bobby1413 » 25 Sep 2007 12:15

My friend bought his first RFC member card as previously he had always used mine/a friends. He bought his member card when he bought his Liverpool ticket.

This was on the 13th of September (12 days ago), and he has not received a member card in the post yet.

I had a thought this morning that maybe his member card is at the ticket office and you have to go and pick it up? Do you think that is the case? I remember before we had member cards, you used to collect your paper ticket from the office.

I've tried phoning but I am 49th in the queue, and we emailed the club twice 3 days ago and have not had a response yet.

Thanks.

I've got two mates travelling up from Brighton for the game who ordered member cards on Thursday and had them delivered Saturday morning.

I'd hang on the phone if I were you.

They can probably give you replacements at the ticket office on the night if it doesn't arrive in time.

If he applied for his card when he bought his Liverpool ticket does that mean he has a paper ticket for tonight ?

If so then he'd be better off not trying to sort his card tonight as I suspect the TO will be busy tonight

Thanks guys.

I phoned twice, and twice was in queue position 49. As I'm off today I went down to the stadium, a bit of queue outside, but after waiting for 25 minutes I got the card re-printed.

Not sure what happened to the original though!
