Our last 4 opening Home Games at this level were:

05/06 - 16,836
04/05 - 15,641
03/04 - 16,833
02/03 - 13,638 (midweek game) first Sat was 14,712

Anything over 17k will be a good gate.

Yes but we didn't have over 13,000 season ticket holders then. (granted a fair few may be on holiday).

If that is a full away end, and I mean the whole stand, that's 4000 on top of your 13,000 before floaters arrive.

I'll plump for 19,500.

Just looking forward to knocking the stuffing out of them!

It's only now fans are suffering the ramifications of the expansion not going ahead.

You could have had a further 6000 empty seats to choose from

I think most are waiting to watch the Forest game first.

Home attendances at the start of the season have very often been pretty ropey in recent years. I had previously put this down to people being away on holiday, but I think it has more to do with miserable moaning gits saying they're not going any more and then realising by September that they really do want to.

you are so right, or we could have gone ahead with the expansion, the players may have got a tad excited and we could have beaten Fulham and Bolton at home, and we could be looking at a record crowd, depends on how you look at stuff i guess.

If we get 18k against Plymouth it will will be a good crowd, Southampton would be happy with that.

Er.. When did I say that? I'll be looking after my nephew and I don't want him meeting any HNA? reprobates. He may turn out to be a good lad.

I can't buy you a lemonade anyway because I'm refusing to piss about with this crap plastic money idea. If you're in the East you're welcome to pm me and let me know where to say hi though. Just don't be a bad influence.

I know at least 2 ST's that are on holiday for this one, so I'm not expecting much over 14k for this game.

But it will be easier to get a pint :)

.... unless you have to top up your member card
