genome Thought England looked more dangerous against Italy than Brazil have in their two matches so far. :?

I'm not sure about more dangerous. Certainly more cohesive, clued up and interested. For me the teams of the tournament so far are Germany, Netherlands and France. Which is pretty surprising given the South American's historical domination on this continent.

Even taking "continent" to mean the entire Americas, the sample size is only a single World Cup in the last 24 years. Not sure how relevant their historical domination is to the modern era.

Plus you had Italy in the final in 1994, West Germany in 1986, Netherlands in 1978, Italy in 1970 so it's not like European sides have all had shockers.

Pepe the Horseman
double d Just read that Ochoa (Mexican Keeper) is out of contract at the moment. SIGN HIM UP! Probably going to be clubs queuing for him now

He was at Sunderland. No idea why he didn't make it there. Always been gr8 on Football Manager...

Oscar Ustari, who, as you say, was the dog's bollocks in Football Manager about 5 years ago was released by Sunderland. He's not Mexican, he's Argentinian.

Meanwhile, there have been at least 2 European teams in the last 4 of every World Cup since 1930. Since 1970, the only South American teams to make the World Cup semis on the continent are Brazil and Argentina.
