Ian Royal It's duller than kicking the opposition into losing and playing Wimbledon style hoofball.

I’m no massive fan of the Spanish approach as a spectacle, but this is a crazy st8ment.

At least something happens in those sorts of games.

Yeah crap that has no business being on a football pitch happens.

I agree sandy. Doesn't mean it isn't more interesting to watch.

For a while Spain were the best side I have ever seen. Better than Brazil in the 70s, Holland, Germany... The lot.

That was the popular opinion too at the time of their initial domination.

How quickly people forget.

I don't think anyone's forgetting how good they were. They were virtually unbeatable. Didn't they go about several years and a couple of dozen games without losing?

You weren't quite so dismissive back in 2011/12 Ian.

Sublime to dull in 2 years.

How quickly you forgot....

Ian Royal Typical, all it needs is one smidgeon of extra space and Spain go from looking like they're completely over-complicating everything to being utterly sublime and deadly.

Ian Royal Spain can play all game looking like they don't know how to actually score a goal, and still end up with a comfortable winning scoreline. They're just that good.
