Sutekh For the record, take note of the way Argentina play as their manager is apparently a disciple of Bielsa who is managing Leeds for at least the next three months or so.

They have no way of playing......

I'd worry if I were any of the big boys left in the competition. France apparently have it in them to come back in games and triumph over adversity rather than revert to type and whinge, moan and surrender. Real deal.

Not sure this tactic of not involving Messi in the match is really working for the Argentine manager. Some nations may even have build a team around such a talent.

Sounds like England with Bowles, Currie, Hoddle, Le Tissier etc...

I presume France will play the winners of Portugal v Uruguay

Hoping Uruguay progress through to the SFs, really like their squad as it’s well rounded and strong throughout. Particularly have been impressed with Godin even if he is knocking on a bit.

My wife's relatives who are Chilean but live in Montevideo said watch out for Uruguay. They said this is the most settled and balanced team they have had for decades with an excellent coach. They reckon they could go as far as the last 4.

Don’t see a lot wrong with that notion. Two of the best strikers in the world, two exceedingly good CBs who know each other’s game inside and out... decent quality in other positions too.

Not an attractive team to watch but quietly effective.

Well Cavani has just bagged another gem and I'm only saying what was said. It's good to hear other people opinions especially if their they say something a bit leftfield. I had Uruguay to fall at the first hurdle. Richard. Herring I like as a writer...but Stuart Let is the funnier standup.....just an opinion.
