John Madejski's Wallet France haven't got out of 3rd gear in the quarters and semis.

Will make it that much sweeter when we do them in the final 8)

I’ve seen nothing of them to suggest they have another level they can hit.

When individual skill is cant carry you through; it’s morale, calm, graft, belief and togetherness that will push you through.

Leicester showed us that. The 106 season showed us that. To me, this England team clearly have that same strange make up where the sum is far greater than it’s parts.

This feels different. So very, very fukking different to any England team I’ve seen before.

ICH

Fcuking hell youre even more excited than at Hallowe’en.

Halloween is a religious holiday for me. Death is an absolute certainty and I like celebrating the macabre nature of that.

But this is far more nailed on than dying. And way, way more fun. ICH

CountryRoyal I think the biggest single factor determining the inevitability of our world cup glory is that Gary Lineker publicly stated he'd wear a mankini if we won the trophy.

We all know what happened last time....

xackly...the PROOF is just piling up!

Ascotexgunner Jeez Belgium were shite.....utterly clueless. Was that really a "golden generation" De Bryne looked like a championship player....and what was with Felani playing out wide?

All their top guns, with the exception of Hazard who was MOM didn't show up last night. That was Belgium's main problem. De Bruyne and Lukaku were anonymous for the most part.

Lukaku had one of his off days and when he's off he's really off. France had a proper game plan and executed it perfectly. Tactical genius Martinez once again didn't seem to be able to do anything to change the game in Belgium's favour. Other than the shit or bust last 30mins against Japan when he finally worked out that playing his best players in their best positions might be worth a go he's been their weak link.

De Bruyne plays too deep for Belgium. When they were chasing the game he was dropping to collect the ball off the centre-backs which is just a waste.

He pinged a couple of incredible passes near the end of the game though, Lukaku should've done better with one of them.

There has still only been 1 0-0 so far which is disgustingly outrageous

£50 on today’s game now gone 0-0 after 90 minutes.

really hoping the world cup doesn't descend into dullness now the pressure is on.
the sheer verve of the earlier rounds does seem to have dissipated though. understandable I guess.

Since coming to England in 2015, N'Golo Kante has won the Premier League twice with two clubs, won an FA Cup, and reached the Euro and World Cup Final

Here's one.....
If England win tonight in 90 mins, Gareth South gate will have won 4 games in his first tournament in 90 minutes, which equals what "Legendary" Bobby Robson did in 3 whole tournaments.

I won't watch the final, I won't watch our runners game. I don't give a oxf*rd.

It hurts. We deserved more.

Football can oxf*rd off.

Deserve more? The signs were there before half time. We were terrible after that. Croatia deserved to win. We looked knackered, our ball retention was poor. It all looked too rushed and we were never in control.

This world cup gets better

It was supposed to be Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar's tournament and merchandising opportunity.

Instead Modric comes and nicks it...
