I know it’s about as likely as Reading getting to the PL and staying there for several seasons but hoping one day that those sides UEFA/FIFA try desperately to keep apart all qualify for a finals tournament and have to play each other.

Gibraltar-Spain
Armenia-Azerbaijan (easily solved as they're equally mediocre)

any more?

So if we beat Croatia, we win the group. 0-0 means Croatia get relegated. Score draw means we get relegated. Then what happens?

We wouldn't have been going to the Nations League finals and during the next cycle we would have been playing a poorer set of teams.

This win also guarantees England a top seeding in the draw for the Euro qualifiers next month.

Was a great game - Belgium were superb for 15 mins and lead 2-0 then Switzerland just bullied them for the remainder of the game - turned it round to lead 3-2 at the half and picked them off in the 2nd.

Switzerland join England & Portugal in the semis. France or Netherlands will complete the line up. Netherlands qualify if they avoid defeat in Germany tonight. Germany need to win to be seeded in the qualifying tournament.

In your lower divisions, Kosovo vs Azerbaijan as a head to head for (a) promotion and (b) shot at Euro 2020 qualification seems about the biggest deal.

Good to see teams performing above their rankings - Kosovo the third lowest ranked team in the competition. In League B, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Denmark both promoted to League A despite being amongst the lowest ranked sides, likewise Finland promoted from C to B, Israel in a shootout with Scotland for promotion too.

Kosovo were always likely to do a Montenegro and punch well above their weight for the first few years of their existence. They're only near the bottom of the rankings due to a lack of games played.

It also appears that the Euro2020 has been jiggled slightly so its done within Groups but 4 x 4 team draws. Better.

So what does it mean for the Euro qualification groups for those countries that win the 4 Nations League titles next June? For example if Scotland won the group C title then wouldn’t that effectively render their presence in their qualification group as utterly pointless - so would their results in that group be “expunged” meaning that only the competitive fixtures in the group would count towards the final standings?

Nope the play offs for group B, C and D do not take place until March 2020. If Scotland qualify for the finals via the Euro qualifiers then their place in the play offs would be taken by the next team below them in their League of Nations Groip assuming that team had not already qualified via the Euros too.

So when the next Nations League cycle starts again, will England still be in the same group as Spain plus one other replacing Croatia or are the leagues all drawn again?

As I understand it, the divisions are drawn each time as teams are seeded within a league. Top 4 teams are seeded 1 and so on based on UEFA Coefficient at the time of draw.

For me, best part about the Nations League is proper competive games being played on a home/away basis. Games like England/Spain only happened in friendlies or at neutral venues until now.

Like to see the final stages be home/away as well. A 2 legged England/Holland fnal would be awesome.
