When City get oxf*rd in as Chief Exec, a oxf*rd in as manager, and a load of players who are absolute oxf*rd on and off the pitch, and get a oxf*rd following who didn't support the "old" club (4 May 1994, Chelsea 1-2 Coventry City, Att 8923; 30 April 1994, Manchester City 2-2 Chelsea, Att 33594) then I'll hate Man City. Until then, whilst disappointed that they've sold themselves to the £££, I have a far greater respect and liking for MCFC than I do CFC.

Whilst you're very right, isn't the comment about attendance a little bit hypocritical about RFC?

Don't forget that Handbags was probably there when Reading hosted Sunday League side Whitley Tavern in front of 27 people...so he won't feel that it applies to him.

TOTALLY agree with HH.

The similarity between us and CFC (and any other club for that matter) is the Johhny come lately's that follow a club in the ascendency.
The difference between us and CFC, is that we don't have thousands of arrogant cocks who reckon that we have always been a massive club.

What was reading's attendance then? End of the 93/94 season would have been high for Elm Park. Would be interesting to see how we compared to such a MASSIVE club.

How did this turn into an anti Chelsea thread? The topic is Man City.

One can only assume the quick rise to being one of the biggest clubs in the World has left a bitter taste in some supporters mouths.

if you take the attendances from the last game of the season 2009/2010 Chelsea got 41,382 and Reading got 19,239. A difference of 22,143. And that was a high attendance for Reading.

Probably worth noting that this was a mere 10 days prior to the FA Cup Final which Chelsea participated in...

I fail to see your point...Chelsea on the day they can win the Premier League title against Wigan Athletic get 41k. Reading, a division lower, who have a dead rubber against PNE, get 19k. So what?

I started hating Man City as soon as the millions started rolling out this summer. I'll still prefer them to win the title than Chavski or ManUre though - unless their style of play is kak.

I shall be praying for the 5 or 6 members that make up the big four these days to all have a miserable season and fail to win or qualify for anything.

tbh i've disliked them for several years now - ever since they began actively trying to encourage homosexuals to come to games

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manc ... 290534.stm

then the way the club, including the fans, forgot all morals and rolled over for Shinawatra (sp?) and his poxy coupla hundred million in blood money
