Bas watch 2011/12 - Cobblers! (page 2)

by Nick Shorey my Lord! » 11 Oct 2010 13:06

So, the big moon-walking, crazy legged genius is currently plying his trade for Daggers and Redbridgers. Let this thread be a shine to the legend, as well as a reference point for his incredible career.

2010/11, played 4 games, scored 2 goals.

Not me but I know the offenders in question, a box of Snickers bars was given to him at Bradford back in 2004

Sweet Jesus. I know the circumstances are different, but even so that's a

D&R have just signed some kid from Palace to go up front. Could Bas' place be under threat?

Remember sitting with the Brighton fans for our friendly there a few summers back and their bewilderment at the Reading fans cheering Bas from the moment he came on, begging him to shoot every time he got the ball and booing our own players for tackling him. Was hilarious watching.

Another game - no goal, but helped set up their goal.

Are you the gay one up front or the one with the elephant ears peering over the top?

Just have a LOL @ this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bas_Savage

He soon won over the City fans, not just by scoring his first goal but with his extravagant style of play.

His career at Brighton got off to a flying start, with four goals in his first eight appearances for his new club. His goals for the club has meant he had doubled his goals tally with Brighton compared to what he achieved throughout his whole career combined.

Current season stats:

10 starts, 2 goals.

Long time bump.

Played again on Saturday and should have had a pen against Swindon. Daggers are out of the bottom 4 for the first time in a while. He scored against Walsall on 9th March. Still said:

I think the form we are in at the moment is decent and I'm delighted with the discipline we showed. I was pleased for Bas. He's worked hard. He was on the bench on Saturday but started, he came in and did his bit for the team.

Season stats:

18 starts, 9 subs, 3 goals, 1 yellow card.

GO BAS GO!

(here's some stick he got from Bristol Rovers...boooooo)
