Would be quite funny to see Swansea nick a 1-0 win.

I dunno, I'm still enjoying the Swansea that have 'battered' Sunderland and Wigan but can't finish anything. Everton holds the record for the longest run without scoring in the Premiership. They went seven consecutive games without a goal in the 1994/95 season.

That'll do for a start

Ship out Arshavin, Bendtnar, Eboue and Denilson

Totally wrong about him and happy to admit it.He's really improved at Madrid and I struggle to believe he'd go to Arsenal.

I'm surprised Arsenal can't compete financially with the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool. They're still paying off their stadium, but that will be smaller installments over decades, rather like a mortgage. With their stadium capacity and ticket prices, they are probably matching Man Utd for ticket revenue. Bettering Liverpool.

I think they must be miles behind in merchandising and other commercial aspects. Having spent a year in Hong Kong, I saw far more Man Utd shirts and Liverpool shirts than Arsenal. Man Utd, especially, were huge. I'm wondering if this South Korean captain Arsenal are going to sign will pay for himself; the Asian market will burn money on merchandise and football. Park Ji-Sung has played a big role in this for Man Utd. Possibly a reason why they signed him, although not the only one as his performances over the years have proved him good enough (grossly underrated). Perhaps if Arsenal could bring in Landon Donovan or some US superstar that would help too, or that Honda guy who impressed for Japan at the world cup.

I think there's a merchandising difference closer to home too. Everybody jokes about the Man Utd fans from London and Surrey. It's true though. Nationwide, we're packed with Man Utd fans. How many Arsenal fans will you find in Lancashire? MUTV probably makes loads of revenue world wide, same can't be said for Arsenal.

At our level, you measure the impact of fan base almost exclusively through how much ticket revenue they bring in. I guess it's a different ball game at that level, but Arsenal shouldn't be so far behind Man Utd. In the era of Ferguson and Wenger, we've seen Arsenal complete numerous doubles, we've seen them have an unbeaten season and they've played some of the most exciting football in the country. They're in the Champions League for the 14th year in a row. They had one of the world's greatest and most marketable players; Thierry Henry. Why have they fallen so far behind in the past 6 years?

Apparently buying a Korean now.

Anyway, I understand that its an issue of wages and the club have a structure and budget that they are willing to bend not break. Hence buying young and building up.

They definitely have that policy, but my point is that if they had made the most of their success under Wenger and their size, they wouldn't need it. Just like Man Utd don't need that policy nor wealthy backers.

I hope Wenger hangs in there, whilst they may not have won a trophy recently, for the neutral, Arsenal have been the most enjoyable Premier League team to watch for most of his tenure.
