Hoop Blah

Hoop Blah They might think that now, but they think they should be challenging for the top 6.

could.

It's definitely a could.

The Villa fans I know, and 99% of the ones I hear on the radio and see on the telly, all think they should be challenging for Europe based on the size and history of the club (but obviously not with the current squad and issues with investment and ownership). Not necessarily getting there every year but certainly they think they should be challenging.

No could about it in their eyes.

i tend to agree, a club like villa if got right should be there or thereabouts most seasons in the top 8

That's generous! His attitude wont go down with an already unsettled squad, let alone the mentalist owner.

Can we start the clock ticking on this one then.

BBC Italian Cellino sacked 36 head coaches in his 22 years in charge of Cagliari.

.
.
.

It is understood Evans, 52, will take charge of Leeds on at least a short-term basis.

The bit in bold, that makes it a could. As does the "if got right" in Woodley's post.

Leeds are an utter utter shambles. Feel sorry for the fans having to put up with a deadbeat like Cellini.

Evans is an appalling person and at least it'll be good news when he's sacked.

I totally agree in reality it's a could, my point is that Villa fans see it as a should.

Its got to the stage now that even though they are Leeds fans I'm starting to feel sorry for them.

LOL

At its recent meeting, the Board of The Football League (with the exception of Chief Executive Shaun Harvey who declared an interest*) considered the position of Leeds United President Massimo Cellino under its Owners' and Directors' test.

In June, Mr Cellino was found guilty by a Court in Sardinia of an offence under Italian tax legislation relating to the non-payment of VAT on the importation of a Land Rover vehicle. This resulted in a fine of €40,000 and the confiscation of the vehicle in question.

Having considered detailed legal advice and the Court’s reasoned judgment, as supplied by Mr Cellino, the Board determined that the decision of the Italian Court constitutes a disqualifying condition under the Owners' and Directors' test.

Mr Cellino has until October 28 to appeal against the Board's decision. Any such appeal would be heard by an independent panel.

The League will make no further comment at this time.

*Shaun Harvey was Chief Executive and a Director of Leeds United between 2004 and 2013.

I don't think any of the ones I know do. They all talk in the same *ifs* and *maybes* that you have used throughout, and the villa fans you've cited have also used.

could.

At least Cellino and Evans have something in common, even if it it is just a conviction for tax evasion.

Who sold out to Cellino? They must have oxf*rd hated the club.

Presumably they only reason he hasn't appointed himself manager is because it would be a bit awkward to hand himself his P45 after 15 games.

GFH Capital sold 75% of Leeds to Cellino. They're an Islamic Investment bank. I'm sure that went down well with the locals. Mind you, they did buy out Bates so they could probably be forgiven just about anything.

I remember when Bates bought them, my boss was a big Leeds fan. He was really happy and didn't appreciate my prediction that Bates would put them into administration inside 2 years and walk away with more money than he put in whilst leaving them in the shit.

Harsh. They'll give him the whole season, surely?
