Winston Biscuit Typical Southampton would be to appoint some foreigner you have never heard of and announce him as being really highly thought of in the Turkish 2nd division or summat.

He will also lose his job before I have started remembering what his name is

Heard of Ralph Hasenhuttl?

I have an excellent track record on football related information. For example if Manchester United lose at home to Arsenal on Wednesday Joes Mourinho goes.

Reports today suggest he will be in charge by the weekend.

So as OMA says, Downes gets the AFC job.......hmmmmm.

I’m very surprised his Twitter feed hasn’t stopped it happening........and would not be surprised if it caused it to end early......

Wouldn't shock me at all if Stam went there to be honest.

Whatever happened to them?

I'm quite impressed that he's not going to start for a bit because he's got plans.

That is crazy, has a club ever appointed a manager mid season, when they are not in a job, only for them to say yes but not joining for a few weeks? Would imagine he has given the club a list of players he wants in the meantime.

Bruce is having knee surgery and wants time to recover, apparently.

Rowett on hot seat at Stoke, Big Sam and Moyes could be in the frame..

Rowett is on borrowed time. I said he should have gone 2 months ago. Appalling mess of a job he's making there.

Ah, the cynic in me was thinking he was still getting some payments from Villa that were dependant on him not getting another Championship job until after the transfer window was over so he couldn't nick any of their players.

John Sheridan resigns as Carlisle United manager to join Chesterfield.

The mind boggles.

I think he may have been manager there before and presumably ( if it reflects his style as a player) Chesterfield wanted something a bit more cultured than Martin Allenball.
They are struggling near the bottom of the Conference and yet it doesn't seem that long ago that they were cheated (was it Elleray?) when Kevin Davies was their star striker and they so nearly reached a cup final.

It reminds us how far teams can fall in a short(ish) period of time.
