John Smith
ankeny Harry Kewell has been sacked by Notts County 10 weeks after being appointed as the League Two club's "long-term solution" as manager.

Ridiculous. 14 games.

Sanguine Out of nowhere, Jokanovic OUT at Fulham, and Ranieri IN.

Wow

Life can be hard in professional football management, can't it?
You take a team up to the 'promised land', playing attractive football and then.....

There is no time in the Premier League.

I blame the BBC for running a feature that no Manager had been sacked yet this season in the Premier League.

Lo and behold....

Would he want to go straight back into management? He will get a pay off and may want to take a break.
In regard to Clement I do feel for him. It seems like he is always one loss away from the sack. It’s not a great way to be managing a club.

Old Man Andrews
Old Man Andrews Got a feeling he will go after the Liverpool game this weekend. We will then have Allardyce going in there and thus the cycle begins again.

Just as I called it.

Always 100% right, I am a football expert.

Jokanovic out - tick
Allardyce in - no tick

That's 50%

I wasn't seriously thinking Allardyce would go in there. Knew it would be Ranieri.

.

Fair comment. FWIW, I think that he could still turn the corner. If only some of the players could show more concentration when they cross that white line.

Football Management is often about momentum and all it needs is points won/lost to change fortunes (platitude, I know!) but look back yo Alex Ferguson......

I wish Clement well, as his post match comments are refreshingly honest.

Premier League?

Mark Hughes is on very thin ice at Saints.

Yep agreed with Victor on Hughes.

Don't think Clement is far away in the Championship. Loss to Wigan and I think he's gone. Also think Lee Johnson is on thin ice at Bristol City. The natives are getting restless.

I can't believe how no one is noticing what a monumental oxf*rd up Gary Rowett is making of Stoke. Odds on to get promotion, spent millions and are sitting in the lower reaches of mid table with dross like Sheffield Wednesday. I think he needs to go.

Their owner is one that gives his managers a bit of time.
As for spending millions they did sell Shaqiri and a few others.
There are signs that Rowett is gradually getting it together and they are starting to become more difficult to beat.
I wish we had played them a few weeks ago rather than shortly.

Whilst I accept your point on Shaqiri plus the parachute payments and marginally improving results, their squad contains Jack Butland, Joe Allen, Tom Ince, Benik Afobe, Peter Crouch and Bojan. They should be walking this league.

But it also contains Saido Berahino.

Just shows what an absolute tough league it really is.

Sometimes having all of those premium level players makes it harder to motivate them. It's really not as simplistic as to say that they have a load of good players.

Give me young fighters with a bit of ability and a lot to probe any day.

I can't see many great candidates for the job. Michael O'Neill maybe? He's done a great job with Norn Iron.

How would the moving of him from NI to Rep Ireland go down?

Get the impression from social media that the Irish fans would take Peter Sutcliffe as long as he played some slightly attacking football.

A surprising amount of shouts for Big Sam. That would be awful.

I don't know how it would go down but I think the fans would be foolish to doubt him. He's shown how much he can do with so little. Also the next manager will benefit with McCarthy and Coleman back and fully fit.

For a start being a Roman Catholic helps and I would suggest he has been very successful as an International manager so why not?
I would guess that the job in the south is much better paid bearing in mind the level of managers that they have had..

The success he has achieved in bringing the squad he has as far along as they have gone cannot be downplayed.

Honestly I would mind seeing McDermott in the Ireland job..

Managed Shamrock Rovers quite successfully too so he has expeience of living and working there. Wouldn't see any issue the supporters would have, I think times have changed and the attitudes have changed a fair bit.

You say that, but without Allardyce, England wouldn't have got to the World Cup semi finals
