genome Either that, or it shows the lack of quality available.

That's my one worry about sacking Stam.

Not that I think Stam is going anywhere but Stoke made a rod for their own back by stating that they only wanted a manager with Premier League experience. That automatically made the pool of talent much smaller as most are either in jobs or if they aren't, probably a bit crap.

It's another case of a club showing no imagination and just appointing someone because he has done a job before despite the fact that the last couple of jobs have been fairly average.

It's not like it's a Moyes type appointment where he has a decent track record at the top level but has tailed off but is clearly a good manager needing the right environment. Strange one but the bottom half is so congested that it only needs a couple of wins at the right time to be the difference between relegation and 12th.

Thoroughly :| :| :| :| :| at watford fc new manager. 10 managers in 6 years they have had. Utterly mental. What do they think they will achieve by doing it.

They will carry on being an “artificial team” full of loanees from the continent and with jobber managers who will never be the Jose that they want.

Continuing playing in the Premier League?

Seems to be working alright for them, mental as it is.

MK Dons sacked Robbie Neilsen at the weekend and Bury parted company with Chris Lucketti after 2 months last week and the club promptly went and won at *xf*rd on Saturday.

Chris Powell in as Southend manager. Always struck me as a bloke too nice for the murky world of football management.

Yes, certainly won't be betting on Scunthorpe this weekend as I otherwise would have.

This feels a bit like it would be if Parky became our manager.
Well respected and liked player over a number of seasons with a mixed record in management.

Heard they're after Paul Heckinbottom (Barnsley) so perhaps Jaap might not be quite so wide of the mark....
