Makes sense really. Frank, though, may be the only manager to ever resign after the club chairman logged on to a fans forum under a pseudonym to insult him.

As expected, Hirst has gone from Ipswich.

Took a massive gamble, safe to say it did not pay off for him, Ipswich and Shrewsbury.

Should have kept MM.

Someone like Paul Lambert going in at Ipswich shows us we need to be cautious at the moment. There is so much dross out there of Paul Lambert's ilk that we could end up with someone seriously awful.

Spanish press claiming Lopetegui is getting sacked tomorrow and Conte is taking over.

Nice €18M euro pay off for Lopetegui too for the 4 months work he put in

Well they won at the weekend away from home so I think that's bought some time. I think Stoke are prepared to give him until the end of the season. He stays.

I agree.

It is always a tough job going down from the PL. Rarely teams bounce straight back up.

Last season was the first season it hadn't been done since 2012 and it's been done 19 times in the past 25 seasons.

In this context, 1 in 4 or almost 1 a season is hardly "rarely" though. It happens 3 in every 4 seasons.

No, what you've done here is very similar to that time you claimed that Man City were a small club with no history prior to the Arabs turning up. You've engaged fingers before brain and made a sweeping statement with no basis in fact.
