lowerwestjnr Lol @ the shot fans singing about us (Reading) last night

I thought they were typical lower league/non league fans. They spent most of the match singing that they hate scum (name me one person who thinks scum is a good thing) and hardly any time actually trying to get behind the team. Predictablole "banter" like "we're going to win 6-1"

Cringeworthy stuff from the not very plucky underdogs as United's reserves didn't even need to get out of second gear to see them off comfortably.

All footy fans are oxf*rd now...including United. Makes me chuckle hearing the Cantona chant knowing that 90% of them singing it only ever saw him on TV...and if by singing this chant it somehow means they aren't plastic because they can remember a player from a 15 years ago.

Credit where credit is due though, at least most of them stayed to the end of the match to support their team last night.

Leaving for Guildford at 3-0 down to your rivals >>>> Leaving for Guildford at full time with a 6-1 scoreline

When I went, I was genuinely surprised how atmospheric it actually was.

I have a lot more respect for United now I'm up in the city.

I was disgusted with the amount of half and half scarves being worn on Sunday. Proper divs who bought it just to show their mates they went. As if uploading 100 pics to FB wasn't enough.

Think spending time there would change everyones mind. I've got alot of respect for Uniteds support (mainly away from home).
Liverpools just as bad for "fans" around this area so does that make Everton the number 1 club in their city???

Everton v United moved to a 12 KO on police advice. Not even on Sky.

I just wish I had actually watched it. I thought you were going to hammer Crystal Palace, so I didn't bother and watched Dexter season 5 instead.

Gutted only got odds on the Palace win after 90 mins. Soon as I saw Uniteds team you could see that coming. Remember Exeter and Crawley?

After spending £1/2 billion in five years and losing £300m in two years on the books - whilst simultaneously making the premier league even less of a competition than it already was for those without bottomless pits of oil money - I'd argue that being anything less than the biggest club in the city would be abject failure.

Got to love how people are basing the size of a club on what reserves they put out in the LOLeague cup.

Fickle.
