Watching Mourinho getting beaten does give me way too much pleasure.

Someone said in t’pub tonight that when you look at the talent in the City side it’s no surprise they are walking away with the title.

One has to wonder if Mourinho and Guardiola swapped squads whether the differential would have been a little different.

I suspect it would have been, and massively so.

Man Utd’s talent is hamstrung by their manager’s tactics.

The differential would have been less as Mourinho's main tactic has always been, beat the dross, don't lose to your rivals. So he would have set up not to lose to the top 6 whilst Guardiola sets his team up the same way every week - go for the jugular. The only team to play in remotely the same way is Liverpool, which probably explains why they are the only side to beat them to date.

Ironic then that 2 of their 5 defeats this season have been against 2 of the promoted teams.

Would Man City still be top with Mourinho in charge?

With this squad? Yes.

However, if Mourinho were in charge, I don't bellieve they would have the squad they do.

we're all enjoying these comedy United results and performances RR (Chelsea's even more), but Arsenal are 11 (eleven) points behind United. In fact Arsenal are 8 (eight) points closer to the bottom three than they are to Man City.

Well yes, but we are mainly focusing on the clubs with big, realistic title-winning aspirations.

Arsenal are somewhat irrelevant to the conversation

Had a quick look at Redcafe (United) and RAWK (Liverpool) both are depressed as fook...it's all doom and gloom

Lot of bitching about Mourihno's and Klopp's tactics

It's weird. Teams run away with the league (Chelsea last season, City this) and fans of other sides bemoan their inability to stay with that ridiculous pace. United are 7 points better off at this stage than last season, Liverpool 2. City aren't going to be caught. There's this 'super-team' mentality that any failure to win is a disaster.

Edit: just to add to that, Liverpool's current points total would have them 6, 6, and 2 points off top in the three seasons prior, after 27 games. United's 4, 4 and 0 (top).

Hoop Blah
6ft Kerplunk +1 SFers. I'd expect them to get duffed up for doing stupid handshakes and dances if they were at school, adults doing it is just well a bit pathetic.

This is the kind of shit that makes me really dislike Lingard.

It's like they've never seen what a dick Sturridge looks like when he does his silly dance.

This is another example of the kind of shit that makes me dislike Lingard.

I'm not sure if I believe the cover story to be honest, but even if you take it on face value it sums him up (and a lot of modern football for that matter) if he has a social media team engaging at this level.

He's in the middle of a memorial service for 23 people who died whilst working for the club who now pay him handsomely to represent them. If it wasn't for them he quite likely wouldn't be where he is today and wouldn't be in a position to have a social media team.

It would be disrespectful for him to be pissing about on his phone at the time, but I'm sure you realise that really.

I don't think FIFA 18 was the smartest thing to be tweeting about either, given the occasion and the timing, media team or not.
