I would like to see him as tempo manager

He's the sort of character the dressing room needs on a short term arrangement. Sort out the shirkers and create a them and us mentality, toughen up the players a bit.

I said 3 years ago he was finished. Can’t believe Man Utd couldn’t see it. This last 18 months has cost them an incredible amount of money just to prove a truth that was obvious to many after his 2nd tenure at Chelsea.

I don't blame them for going for him when they did, they couldn't really get a lot worse than they were. Somewhere down the line they forgot what they are as a club and they need to get that identity back.

So Carrick announced as "interim" manager but looks like the caretaker will actually be a short term appointment from outside the club.

Disgusting. Payouts for being crap is the thing that needs to change in football, ridiculous.

Mr Wenger would be a good choice for me. Controversial but I think he'd get a tune out of Pogba and Martial for sure.

Not sure he would leave Napoli, United would have to buy out his contract too.

Would be a mistake for both parties IMHO.

Why don't they give Danny Cowley a chance? He's worked wonders in the lower leagues

Long term. Just a gut feeling, I don't have any sources on this.

Maybe Smudger Smith will put feelers out if you ask him.

I also think they'll try a move for Pochettino in the summer, but I don't think it'll happen. Can't see Poch abandoning Spurs right before the new stadium move and Woodward will have to prize him out of Levy's cold, dead hands before he leaves

I think André Villas-Boas should be seriously considered for this role

Depends on how much cash Spurs give him to spend. If he is limited by budget constraints relating to the new ground then he will be out the door, he was pissed off enough this summer with the lack of signings so can't see him putting up with it again.

Just seems a weird time to leave, putting all that groundwork in with the club getting ready to move into an incredible new stadium and you leave right before all that work gets paid off.

And, while Man Utd are undoubtedly a much bigger club, I don't think there's enough difference in the current stature of the two clubs to make the move worth it for Poch at this moment in time.
