Silver Fox I've said before that the bid package must have said that they were bidding for a summer world cup and as they are unable to fulfill this then they lose the right to host, same as if they didn't build the stadiums they said they would. Unfortunately FIFA is so bent there is no way this would get challnged from within. As has been suggested the big leagues should boycott it, which will cost FIFA cash and that's all they care about

FIFA's remit is to spread football to the four corners of the globe - not to pander to the rich clubs in Europe.

Sutekh what happens to the league seasons, are they all to be suspended for 6/8 weeks or do we end up with the farce that hits rugby sometimes where teams carry on playing as normal but without half their squads. If it is suspended then that is likely to mean starting in July and ending in June and lastly what happens to all the international qualifiers for the 2024 EC, they'll all have to be rejigged and moved about as well.

Mr Angry If a player dies out on the pitch during the 2022 Finals due to the heat, would FIFA dare say that nobody could have predicted such a thing happening?

Great, so take it back to the USA, or back to Africa, or to India, where football is genunely emerging. Qatar isn't even a location as such. No disrespect to Qatarians, but the World Cup is being 'spread' to a purpose built football village in the middle of the desert.
