The club as we know is a shambles. This has been circulating on Twitter today - I think it speaks for itself.

I saw this and initially was disgusted.

I then read the club's press release about the letter.

They say:

- they did sent out this one single letter to the one fan

- the fan in question had tweeted individuals at Charlton foul and abusive tweets

- the fan voluntarily has since removed them and apologised

- the fan was also shown video footage of him acting up at the ground for which he also apologised.

- the club for years have used "acceptable behavioural contracts" rather than prosecuting or banning supporters. In this case, the fan was NOT asked to sign one and the club gave him his ST without any other action

...

Forgetting the mess Charlton are in for a second and taking this in isolating I can't see an issue with their actions.

It's not like the fan has tweeted "oh @Charlton, you're a bunch of wallies"

He has presumably been foul mouthed and abusive to staff on their personal account. I wouldn't expect to be able to call Tiger or chief safety person a oxf*rd kunt and get away with it
