Thoroughly enjoying Roy Keane at the moment.

He really doesn't give a shit who he slags off. It's not only refreshing to see an ex pro (and a properly great player as well) actually criticize other footballers he's also pretty much spot on.

And that awful beard.

Sitting next to Keane, Hoddle looked like he was going shit his chinos last night. Fantastic stuff.

Gerrard is OK as well.

You wouldn't them both doing the same game though.

He is in deep trouble.

Not having Mr Innocence Joey Barton preaching about keeping your cool under pressure though.

Pretty disgraceful from Carragher, he'll likely be sacked, and rightly so. How silly. Bizarre that he will be on MNF tonight. Can they really not find another pundit like Henry or Redknapp at short notice?

Only thing that will save him is if the girl and her father come out and plea for Carragher to be forgiven. Wouldn't shock me if money changes hands and they come to the rescue.

Bit of a pathetic episode all round. The girl apparently pleading with her father "can you stop now?" (the goading of Carragher) after she had been covered in spit. Doesn't excuse Carra at all though.

Yeah its embarassing for all. I hope the father gets done for driving without due care or attention at least. He is far from innocent in all of this.

Why is a multi-millionaire footballer making a conscious decision to wind his window down and spit though? How stupid is he?

that shouldn't save him.

Anyway, he's a terrible pundit. And a nasty person.

Rodney Marsh and then Richard Keys/Andy Gray got the sack from SKY for some clumsy, probably stupid, comments. This is far worse.

Carragher is massively out of order but I've had enough of pcunts like the bloke goading him, can we fold the internet so there's no point in someone endangering their child just so they can go viral?

While I don't condone what Carragher did (it's disgusting), I still think it's crazy that you can ruin your career over a moment of regrettable madness nowadays.

But I guess that's the problem with the faux outrage you get on social media.

No great loss to punditry tbh, his co-commentary in particular is woeful.

I agree with SFers that people really need to stop being pcunts just because they've spotted someone famous but it really didn't take much to provoke Carragher. His reaction is way over the top.

Maybe the spit was unintentional, and he was just asking for directions?

Should be suspended without pay for the rest of the season - then come back beginning of next once people have forgotten what he did and have moved onto a new target.
