Nothing too controversial in the Premiership one, unless you are a fan of one of the big teams and want to claim that your players are better. If that is Man City, you might be surprised that de Bruyne isn't picked ahead of Mane, perhaps; if you are an Arsenal fan, maybe it should have been Sanchez. Lots of teams might think they have better centre halves than Luiz and Cahill, but this season you can't really argue with their selection.

I haven't seen better defenders in the Championship than Gunter and Moore, but I am biased. The only opposition player who really made a big impression on me was Tammy Abraham.

The big controversy was of course that Dele Alli can't be player of the season - madness.

I would say Alderwhatshisname from Spurs should be in ahead of Luiz and you've got to have Sanchez ahead of Mane but apart from that i would say its pretty spot on. Maybe Valencia in instead of Walker too

according to some presenter on Talksport (least reliable source known to man) a PL player told him that it's because other footballers don't like Alli, as he acts like a right pcunt on the pitch.

So if either us or Sheff Wed go up one of the three promoted teams wouldn't have a single player in the team of the year. Is that a rare thing or normal?

Don't they vote for this stupidly early and he was out injured for a while wasn't he. Out of sight, out of mind and all that.

The lack of the white pele in 05/06 is one thing but where are the Sheffield United players? any other year they'd have walked the league and yet only Jagielka gets in.

Shocking really given just how loved Warnock's teams always seem to be. Was Jagielka playing in midfield then?
2011/12 team really was better than the sum of its parts so no real surprise there.

Did we get anyone in for 2010/11? that season is more analogous to this year than the promotion years

Their best players are/were being kept out by ours...

I think that David Luiz shouldn't be in and swap in dele Alli for him. Why always 4 4 2?

Who chose them? Is it the players? Surely they will just choose their mates. Tammy Abrahams has over 20 goals for a team in 21st or something .
