genome See Charlton have crept into the playoffs.
Since Karl Robinson left Charlton for Oxford:
Charlton: WWWDL
Oxford: LDLDL

Winston Biscuit Not unrealistic that a team in League 1 will finish on 90+ points and not even get promoted

Possible in the championship too, with Fulham on 81 with 12 remaining, and Cardiff on 80 with 15 available.
Highest total I can find for Championship 3rd place is Derby's 85.

genome Just looking at the PL run-ins. I don't think Brighton are safe...
Since beating Arsenal, they've lost 4 out of the last 5 (the other being a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield) and their run-in looks like this:
Tottenham (H)
Burnley (A)
Manchester United (H)
Manchester City (A)
Liverpool (A)
The most winnable fixture there being Burnley away, who have won their last five games in a row

Pepe the HorsemanSanguine Southampton are in a bit of bother - 11 games to go, but only four at home, and I think their fate might be sealed in March, where they play Stoke (h), Newcastle (a), Swansea (a), West Ham (a). All six pointers, and after that they have Arsenal, Chelsea and City in their last six games.
They're still 5/1 to go down, which looks very generous.

Didn't back this, of course.
Swansea got moved, but they got 1 point (and no goals) from those other games.

Winston Biscuit Brentford are 1 point outside the play offs with Barnsley & Hull left to play
Millwall in 6th play Boro in 5th next week, Millwall then have Villa while Derby have to play Cardiff, Villa and Barnsley.
Reckon Brentford could be a good bet to take the last play off place (can't find any odds on it though)
