Cracking Stuttgart own goal. Defender takes a throw-in back to his keeper, who his tying his laces. Sees the ball, panics, gets a toe on it and it goes in. If he'd not touched it, it wouldn't have been a goal.

Back to back league defeats for the first time in what seems like an age and now 4 games without a win.

Bundesliga looking very open this year, unless Bayern suddenly click back into gear Dortmund top on 17pts then 2nd through 5th all on 14pts before Bayern down in 6th on 13pts.

4 league games without a win for Barca too with Sevilla sitting top. Next 2 games for them are Sevilla and then Real Madrid

French league is ridiculous. PSG already 8 points clear and have scored 32 goals.

This is nuts. Rubin Kazan youth team player scores a penalty whilst completing a back flip.

At first I was going to write about Europe's more interesting title races this season, what with Barca and Real struggling, Bayern currently 7th in the Bundesliga, and Celtic 4th. Then I realised PSG have won 8 out of 8 and so have Juventus. Good to see a bit of competition in Spain and Germany though. Genk are currently upsetting the usual order in Belgium too, albeit only by a point from Club Brugge.

Edinburgh City are top of Scottish League Two with 8 wins from 9 games. There's so rarely any 'new' teams in Scotland that it would be good to see them start to progress through the leagues.

A couple to keep an eye on are:

Fenerbahce down in 15th place in Turkey

The combination of Sporting Lisbon having a tough season ahead having lost all those players for free and Braga being joint top and reportedly looking very strong.

Anyone else attempt to watch Glenavon v Linfield last night?

Bad enough quality football but Sky's picture was tragic and kept cutting out. I really do hate the international break.

Nah I can't watch things like that, really awful quality.

I have always thought it would be a good idea for the League 1 and League 2 sides to be on TV throughout the international break weeks, maybe a live game each night? It will give the clubs some much needed exposure and possibly introduce potential new supporters to those clubs.

I think it would be a good idea for a game per league at the weekend.

Friday night Championship, Saturday lunchtime PL/Champ, 3pm a L1/L2 game and evening PL/Champ.

Sunday 2 PL and 1 lower league.

Yes, fully agree and would love to watch this. Could you imagine Crawley v Port Vale on a Thursday night?!

Some Finnish ex Wycombe youth team player was doing that years ago.

One hell of a message to Barcelona, who is left to get game time. Those 6 goals included a hat-trick as a second half sub last week, including a 96th minute free-kick winner.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtRK8HRh4aw (free kick at 1:50).

He did start in the Champions League against Monaco. And scored, of course.

Plays for Spain for the first time since March 2016, and of course Alcacer scores twice. That's 9 goals in 244 minutes this season.
