Can someone who was around in the seventies please explain WTF was going on back then.

I honestly don't get it. Seriously, I understand that fashion makes people do things that in the context of the times aren't as bad as they seem later, but surely they knew they looked horrific even then...??

Can't believe that having seen Malcom Moore's wonky fringe that ray Pritchard went to the same barber's a couple of weeks after.
Its no wonder that it took them so long to catch the Yorkshire Ripper, in the 70s every man in the country looked like a rapist's photofit.
