Mr Holt is at it again

Hull signing Stephen Hunt is an accident waiting to happen
By Oliver Holt

When Stephen Hunt’s knee collided with Petr Cech’s head and fractured his skull during a Reading-Chelsea match a few seasons ago, Hunt’s teammates said it was an accident.

They said Hunt was a little sweetie really and that he’d never do anything like that intentionally.

Now Hunt is playing for Hull City but it seems he has not lost his talent for accidentally hurting Chelsea players. Within a couple of minutes of the start of Hull’s game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Hunt took Frank Lampard out somewhere around his thigh.

I’m sure he didn’t mean it.

To be honest, I agree with him.

Reckless challenge which could have broken a leg. Should have been sent off.

Predictably poor effort.

Not necessarily. Hunt is pretty reckless. There's just a big difference between being reckless and intending to injure. Holt's comment was to imply that it was intentional, on the grounds that he's a cock of keyboard warrior proportions on this subject.

To be honest, at the end of the day, with all due respect, for anyone who has to point out that they are being honest you are probably best disregarding everything else they say that doesn't start with this phrase as it is obviously horse manure.

'greed

It was a poor challenge and all Hunt did was get up and flick his hair behind his head with an expression of "what?"

As soon as you start being polite and using capital letters and punctuation. It is a protest, someone had to take a stand.

why should anyone use upper case in an informal environ? and what, if not a punctuation mark is a question mark? or a comma? make my day and tell me you use upper case when you text message on your mobile phone.

In every text that he's sent me, yes - it's not just about comprehension, it's about courtesy and respect for others....

good lord....courtesy extended by capital letters? i think there are some pretty large gaps in your grasp of what is or is not important in the grand design.

Broken windows syndrome. If you don't make an effort with the small things, where exactly do you start?

Much as it pains me to agree with anything Olly writes, in this case he's right. That challenge on Lampard should have been red. Studs up at thigh height.
