I've always taken word of a European Super League with a pinch of salt, but this transfer window has changed my mind completely. It's going to happen, and probably sooner rather than later. Within 5-10 more years, we will likely have the world's best players all collected at no more than two handfuls of clubs, who each win their domestic league and cup almost every season.

We are there in Germany and Italy already. To a slightly lesser extent France.
Even Spain - if Neymar leaves Barcelona, with Messi and Suarez both now the wrong side of 30, where does that leave the Catalans. Which superstars are going to replace them at Camp Nou if the likes of PSG and Real are offering £200m transfer fees and £500,000 a week wages?

I kind of feel like the way transfer fees are going this summer will be the last hurrah before it all collapses in on itself.

I am starting to wonder if many of these transfers are not just money laundering right in front of our eyes. no one has heard of the players yet all internet spods instantly claim he is decent so as to look itk.

additional - I see Palace have signed Pete Johnson for £6M. cracking little player.

He's quite a well thought of central midfielder who played a number of times for the Liverpool first team.

It's obviously a lot of money for someone with very little experience, especially when I heard somewhere that Jack Wilshire might be available less than £10m as well.

Leeds have signed their 10th player of the summer.

Matthew Pennington, Samuel Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Madger Gomes, Matuesz Klich, Hadi Sacko, Felix Wiedwald and Pontus Jansson.

I've heard of 3 of those :?

Think he's talking about Sacko and Pontus, surprised at not knowing Anita mind.

Barcelona has reportedly bit £72m for Coutinho.

Such a talented player should go to a big club to win some major trophies. Would be such a waste otherwise.

Guess that rules out a move to Stamford Bridge.
