Cracking day for the local sides in the Vase as Thatcham, Bracknell and Windsor all make it through to the quarter finals. Not sure if it's best if they are kept apart in the draw or have have a pair of them playing each other to guarantee a semi final. Who of the local sides have the best chance. I have only seen Thatcham play.

Fantastic news, Thatcham, Bracknell and Windsor have all progressed to the Vase quarter finals. Be brilliant if they could all avoid being drawn against each other in the next round.

Hopefully the next round clashes with a Reading home game so we can all go and support them

I know Bracknell’s best ever run in the Vase was to the QFs back in 1983 when they were overturned by 6-0 at Great Yarmouth so be a chance for them to avenge that

What’s the best Windsor snd Thatcham have done in the competition?

Since the new club formed 6/7 years ago Windsor had barely won a game in the Vase until this season to my memory.

Super performance again today. Really up for it and Hamble never really had sniff of goal.

Ex Reading Academy Lad Jack Denton was the star of the show, including a cracking goal when our keeper threw out to him and he then ran the rest of the pitch before a lovely finish.

Crowd of 670 is the biggest ever for the club barring a free entry game one Boxing Day when we had 803. So good to see a cracking performance from the lads as one would hope that at least a couple of dozen might come to the next few League games!

Q-F's scheduled for 24th Feb ...... when we are home to Derby

The previous incarnation of Windsor actually got to the Semi-Final stage back in the early 80s L1-2 on agg to eventual winners Whickham who beat Willenhall 3-2 @ Wembley.

Thatcham's best is a Q-F defeat in 88/89 at Hungerford.

Other sides progressing include Melksham from the Western League who have a nice big new build ground on the southern outskirts of the town - and crowds to match.
Stockton & bookies favourites Marske got through as did NW Counties side 1874 Northwich who edged past Chichester with an 89' winner.
The postponed tie between STEP06 Wolverhampton SC & South Mids outfit Leighton Town is scheduled for next Sat.

Brilliant win for Brackley against Sutton in FA Trophy

Just wish I'd gone to watch instead of a trip to the Madejski!

Thatcham v Bracknell at Wembley is the dream tie. Would be fantastic for the Hellenic league.

Maidenhead also still involved in the Trophy, if they can overcome a tricky replay at Stockport decent chance they might reach the final as the other National League sides are falling like flies. Could be a Berkshire exodus in May as both Trophy and Vase finals on the same day.

Yep, that would be great.

Even better would be to see Windsor there.

Bracknell and Thatcham have huge (completely unsustainable) player budgets for the level we play at. Windsor have zero.

Yeah nothing against Windsor I just think Thatcham and Bracknell would be a closer game to call. I'm happy if any of them get to the final to be honest and would go regardless.

That is some attendance at Melksham Town. Non-league football is alive and thriving!

Happy days
Good sized crowd, much needed revenue, great result, decent coverage (the NL Paper has decent spreads for all of our Hellenic FA Vase survivors) ....still loving that W&E kit....and good luck on their onward journey!

Thanks for the link Roth.

I went to the Bracknell game and it was a fantastic day out. Should of been 4.0 up at HT and it looked like we might regret missing the chances in 2nd half.
A good 100 BT fans there too. Was superb. Pretty sure I will be choosing the QF over Reading v Derby. Absolute no brainer at the moment!!

Yep I will be doing the same as long as it isn't one of the clubs in the North East!

The Billericay saga continues. Been mentioned plenty of times above, but this is sadly just so predictable.

Strange how some players have just "walked away" from their lucrative contracts.

The bloke is a massive crook isn't he? I'd be willing to bet a large amount of money the club won't be around in a few years time.
