Could our advancement with this deal have caused a knock on effect of cooling interest in Cylne allowing Southampton to advance with that one...

I hope the mystery man is Simpson but I don't understand why, if he's on the verge of a transfer, he is in East Germany with NUFC and was a used sub in their impressive defeat against Karl Marx Stadt. Surely he would have been left behind so he would be free to attend a medical, chat in the hotel lobby, visit Hogwood, be seen shopping at Asda Lower Earley, etc...

Our interest in Gunter has resurfaced again today in the People

The People were the first paper to call Pogrebnyak to Reading weren't they? I'd be very happy with this. More so that Simpson who some locals questioned his attitude, and his lack of tracking back. Gunter would come in wanting to prove himself, and worked very well with McCleary at Forest.
