Speculation - Boyd & Taylor

by bennno » 30 Aug 2012 18:12

Interestingly Peterborough's Boyd (left wing) and Taylor (handy forward) have seen their personal negotiations with Ipswich grind to halt, despite a £1.75M fee being agreed. Could this be a worthwhile duo acquisition along the lines of our Gunter and McCleary grab earlier in the window?

Don't be ridiculous.

Sign an attacking midfielder? The club couldn't wait to get rid of Matejovsky.

We only sold him because we had Sigurdsson keeping him out the side.

there was some comment on the show BMac was on last night with the Peterborough chairman that Nicky Hammond had done a deal with him at half time in the game the other night, but then pulled out. BMac brushed it away quite quickly saying there wasn't a deal, but was probably about this, no?

Posh chairman was on Sky Sports News not long ago stating 6 Championship clubs & 2 Prem clubs have inquired about George Boyds availability.

Out of contract in the summer......

Would take them both on now, as they are top of the table Championship players and capable Premier League stars

Last I heard Taylor is injured until the end of the season and also awaiting trial for assault. Sign him up Brian.

Last time I checked Peterborough were near the foot of the table, as were Ipswich. Hardly 'top of the table' calibre players.

It's unlike Madejski to talk about transfers before they happen.
