3 mill? good move for both tbh, i like norwood but he has to be played in the right position, and does going missing in games too often. Our cm has looked poor for two to three seasons now and i think its the crux of our problems. Seeing norwood and williams moving on would shake things up. Tish as first choice next year depending on his recovery from injury a.n other and george evans as back up with another youngster or new cm, would be fine by me

Edit: forgot quinn so probably only need one central midder

There isn't one single current first teamer I care about losing this summer. I can quite easily see the likes of Norwood, McCleary, Williams and Cooper all going, £13m or so coming in, and a predictably disappointing £3-4m being reinvested in the squad.

Me too... I'm p*ssed with these players. They can go. I think McCleary might be the hardest to replace. When he is on his game he is a seriously talented player. Finding an X factor winger is going to be more difficult I think to replace. So I don't think I would want us to sell Garath. He is a star player at the end of the day.

Id be sad to see Quinn and McShane leave ... rate both of them and think they both have the right attitude.

The only players I'd be gutted about losing are:

McShane
Quinn
Norwood
McCleary

I'd be disappointed to lose Norwood. He's not been that consistent but at least he puts in a shift and is enjoyable to watch. We just need to use him in his best role to get the most from him.

Others I'd be sorry to see leave are
Quinn
McShane
Obita
Tshibola
Kuhl
Stacey

McLeary I'm not too bothered about. He seems to have really struggled to recapture his form the last couple of years.

I would keep: (From the first team)

No one want Cooper to stay? he's only 21! (If Stoke come in with the 5mil they can have him)
McShane
Obita
Gunter
Quinn
Norwood
Tshibola
Rakels
Robson-Kanu (Going)

Then you have these to come back from loan:
Stacey
Fosu
Samuels

Regarding Cooper, I'll be happy enough if he stays, but I wouldn't really be bothered if he went either (as long as we get in a competent centre half to replace him on top of the 1 or 2 we already need).

He's only young and inexperienced but I don't think he's half as good as many people like to think so I believe he should be 3rd or 4th choice, not starting week-in week-out.

Agreed.

Norwood, Tshibola, McShane and maybe Al-Habsi are the only ones I'm really attached to. But £3m for Norwood to go to the PL would be hard to turn down. As long as we've got Tish, Quinn and Evans still I'd live.

Norwood has been at the club since Adkins signed him, which has coincided with a real downturn in Royals' fate. I rate him as a player. He has a great shot and can pass some wonderful passes. However, I think our midfield has a weak underbelly whenever he plays.
I read a lot of comments about Norwood being good if he is played in the correct position. Unfortunately, we seem to need a defensive midfielder to shore up the midfield/defence when he plays. As a result we see negative football and a lack of goals. A Leigertwood he is not.

I just think it's time for Norwood to move to a new club - he's earned a good new deal and I wish him well. I think the change will do RFC good. It will also be nice to get a decent fee for him and we can look to re-invest.

It's really brilliant that Eddie Howe has been down at the "Stad" and looks interested in - according to the EP - buying Norwood, Cooper, Obita and also in taking Hector on loan from Chelsea next year. Suggest he's looking for Bournemouth to storm into the championship next season

Hoping he takes the lot (only Cooper would be a little disappointing to lose). While Norwood is a good player, and rightly should be player of the season, he just doesn't fit in with the midfield set up we have so unless Brian rebuilds around Norwood (and I don't see that happening) we're always going to be disjointed.

If anyone in the modern game is bothered about players leaving then I suggest they don't watch football anymore. Mercanaries, the lot of 'em!

would love him to stay, but if we get a decent fee and that allows us to restructure the squa so it isn't shit
then id reluctantly wave him off with a tear in my eye

I cant see him eliminating all the mistakes in 1 summer, so.....
