Royal Ginger Brexit could well mean that as it stands we'd not be able to sign players from Slovenia, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Cyprus or Estonia, with Denmark, Greece, Sweden, The Czec Republic and Romania hovering around the wrong end of the rankings.

Some of those seem preposterous.

Be grand, Iceland are top 50..... All we need is a team of Gunnarssons.

Got to say though it makes academy more important, because if there is a limited pool of players, transfer prices are going to start to rocket for anybody half-way decent.

Shame. I would have liked to see him here. Oh well, hope we have other targets that won't cost too Mutch.

If this was impossible from the start why did we even pursue him?

Maybe they thought there was a possibility, perhaps they were hoping South Africa might win some matches and rise into the top 50, the difference in points between 50th and South Africa in 60th isn't a huge amount that a good set of results can't make up.
