In all honesty, I feel we have a good, young squad who could make the transition quite well. Players like Moore, Swift, Obita etc could acclimatise to PL football fairly smoothly.

But I would say we would need about 7 or 8 signings to actually hold our own and be enough of a threat to avoid relegation. Our complete forward line and wingers IMO are not up to PL standard. You can strengthen the defence as much as you like, but we would be cannon fodder if we weren't a threat at the other end.

Ftr I think we are far better prepared than other current playoff counterparts. The likes of Leeds would need to invest far more than the likes of ourselves.

I agree, i think once our squad settled into the premiership (If we got there), we would do ok, teams tend to get more time to play than in the Chumpionship so i feel our style of play would suit us fine. Against the Manc's in the cup we were like rabbits in headlights for the first 30 mins, but once we settled down we played ok, and we were playing the most expensive club assembled in the country lol.
But i also agree, we would need 6-8 new faces for depth of which 3 of these would need to be a whole new strike force, and whats the going rate for a decent premier league strike force these days? 30 mill minimum

Look at Grabban and Rhodes for example? 20 million for the pair of them and they hardly lit up the premiership, and Grabban tbh hasn't even done anything yet for us. And Hogan, another championship star stayed in the championship for 14 million.
So eastern Europeans and aging prem players it is then :D

In conclusion, Basingstoke-born & with Dutch league experience; I think we should pull out all the stops to get Dominic Solanke who, like Swift, may be available on a Free. But he'll be attracting many suitors.

If we went up - I think we should take a look at Jota. Looks way too good for the Championship and would suit our style IMO.

Agreed but maybe a bit lightweight for prem?

I don't think that kind of thing really matters as long as they're played in the right position. Another brace today.

I'd like us to sign the Adelaide United starlet Riley McGree.

I've seen him play a few times this season for Adelaide on BT Sport when they show the A League on Saturday and Sunday mornings. He looks a very classy player. Definitely Australia's hottest prospect.

Has anyone else seen this lad perform for the Reds this season? His signature could be a great capture for RFC.

I'd love to see the return of Shane Long.

Also if Swansea get relegated a homecoming for Gylfi would be a great move for us as well.

Joe Hart is also a good shout. Can't see that one happening though.

I also like the look of Botafogo's Camilo. I reckon he could do a job for us in the Premier League. He has enough flair.

Another possibly realistic move for Reading could be a swoop for the Iranian Messi. Sardar Azmoun. He currently plays for FC Rostov. I think Klopp was interested to try and take him to Liverpool. He might be slightly out of our range but you never know.

Going to the Brazilian league, I'd love Giorgian De Arrascaeta to ply his trade in the English leagues.

I reckon Thonny Anderson from their youth team has a hell of a career ahead of himself too.

Looks like a bit of an exodus at Norwich this summer, likely based on wages. If that's the case then maybe a raid on a few stars if we go up? Jerome, Ruddy and Howson, perhaps?

Is Ruddy really an upgrade on alHabsi? We've got some decent goalkeeping prospects coming through too.

What about Steven Naismith?

I like the look of Brentford this season. Obviously defensively they are not great, but they have some real quality up front and in midfield. I'd be sniffing around them, seeing if the likes of Vibe or Jota may be available.

Wouldnt say no to Bassong if the wages were cheap.

Apparently, if he isn't now, he will be.
